A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its own results. Kings County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When you send a message, it may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It remains within the site team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Kings County Criminal History does not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Kings County courts, NYPD, NYC Department of Correction, the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, and the New York State Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report or a criminal-history file about another person. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes shown on this site. A query submitted through one of those tools is governed by that provider's privacy policy. The provider, not Kings County Criminal History, sets its retention and sharing rules. Read those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to New York court portals, NYC agencies, DCJS, legal-services organizations, and outside search services. Once you follow an outbound link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Review it before giving that site personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to follow activity across websites and select ads. Their practices are outside this policy's control.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be processed by:

New York's Freedom of Information Law, Public Officers Law Article 6, governs access to records held by covered government agencies. It does not turn this private website into a government records office. New York Criminal Procedure Law Article 160 separately restricts dissemination of sealed criminal records. For information held directly by this site, you may:
