Kings County criminal records are divided among Brooklyn court clerks, NYPD, NYC Department of Correction, and New York State agencies. This private site cannot accept a record request or change an official file. Use the contacts below to reach the office that actually keeps the court case, police report, custody entry, fingerprint history, or registry information you need.

This Is Not a Government Office. Kings County Criminal History is privately operated. It cannot retrieve an official record, run an official check, correct a government file, or accept a record-sealing motion.

Send a Kings County request to the custodian for that record:

  • Criminal Court cases: Kings County Criminal Court, 120 Schermerhorn Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201; general information 347-404-9400. Clerk and Desk Appearance Ticket hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except holidays.
  • Felony-indictment files: Kings County Supreme Court, Criminal Term, 320 Jay Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201; 347-296-1076. The court clerk is also the source for certified dispositions in Supreme Court matters.
  • NYPD arrest and complaint reports: Criminal Records Unit, One Police Plaza, New York, NY 10038; 718-610-8457. The unit returns complaint verifications by mail or email and does not offer public pickup.
  • City custody records: NYC Department of Correction locating line, 718-546-1500. The Person in Custody Lookup covers people admitted to NYC DOC, not those still in an NYPD lockup.
  • Personal New York rap sheets: DCJS Record Review Unit, 80 South Swan Street, 5th Floor, Albany, NY 12210; RecordReview@dcjs.ny.gov. Fingerprint appointments use IdentoGO at 877-472-6915.
